As a retired nurse over over 40 years I have extensive clinical expertise and am confident in problem solving to provide that individual fit. My knowledge of body mechanics and a wide range of health issues and mobility Issues. I am confident with practical ideas to maintain safety of medical devices such as feeding tubes, ostomy or vascular access devices, This background helps me to provide you with a caring and sensitive approach whilst providing clothing adaptations to meet your needs.
I am a grandmother of a child with cerebral palsy- wheelie, AFOs, heat modulation issues and PEG fed; and a child with autism and the many individual sensory challenges this brings to dressing! I have experience with the elderly reliant on mobility aids and dressing limitations from arthritis. I have personal challenges with extensive disfiguring scarring and other medical issues impacting on my own clothing choices.
